TWO WEEKS IN THE SUN AND SAND
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA '06
I'd be lying if I said I was excited to return to Austin - besides my friends, leaving two laid back and fun filled weeks on the coast of Southern California can really play with a man's head. It wasn't long that the humidity, albeit less than when I left, seemed a bit more
humid and hot than the California coast, and it wasn't until I got to Casino that I started to feel at home and ease once again.
Of course, coincidence is a harsh mistress and the Dead Kennedy's 'California Uber Alles' lashed out from the jukebox while the Big Lebowski played on the screens overhead.
It was an incredible trip - one that allowed me to come to terms with the Left Coast in ways I never thought possible. I soaked up the sun, atmosphere and left feeling rejuvenated, smiling, and feeling the infinite realm of possibilities was once again blowing at my back. |
It's always good to take the time out of a busy day to enjoy a sweet sunset over the Pacific Ocean
