TWO WEEKS IN THE SUN AND SAND
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA '06

I'd be lying if I said I was excited to return to Austin - besides my friends, leaving two laid back and fun filled weeks on the coast of Southern California can really play with a man's head.  It wasn't long that the humidity, albeit less than when I left, seemed a bit more humid and hot than the California coast, and it wasn't until I got to Casino that I started to feel at home and ease once again.

Of course, coincidence is a harsh mistress and the Dead Kennedy's 'California Uber Alles' lashed out from the jukebox while the Big Lebowski played on the screens overhead.

It was an incredible trip - one that allowed me to come to terms with the Left Coast in ways I never thought possible.  I soaked up the sun, atmosphere and left feeling rejuvenated, smiling, and feeling the infinite realm of possibilities was once again blowing at my back.

It's always good to take the time out of a busy day to enjoy a sweet sunset over the Pacific Ocean
