The online chronicles of a painter living in Austin, Texas

RED HOT DISCOVERY

It was an otherwise quiet night in Kansas City when Laura and I arrived back from the market with some quick snacks to eat while playing an odd little board game that revealed a lot about the four souls playing it.  One of the snacks brought home was an unusually red five pack of hot dogs.

The board game was being set up when I lazily tossed a dog in the microwave.  Normally, this is a blasphemous method to cook a hot dog, denying the great taste that accompanies a finely cooked dog (grilled, fried, boiled, in that order).  The dog swelled up as it spun from its frozen coma.  Soon, hot steam was being expelled from its ends, and it bent and screamed like a banshee from its silvery tomb.

And then the camera and tripod was set up, and needless to say, the results were astounding.
